Overview: eCampus News (www.ecampusnews.com), a monthly publication which covers the intersection of technology and innovation in higher education, is now accepting applications for full-time and part-time editorial internships. Internship positions are open to undergraduates as well as recent graduates with a bachelor’s degree.

eCampus News focuses on how technology can help colleges deliver instruction more effectively, enhance the student experience and keep costs down. Applicants must have a strong interest in pursuing a career in publishing, marketing or journalism with relevant coursework or prior experience.
Interns will gain first-hand knowledge in the News/Media/Publishing industry, including how news and resources are gathered and distributed to audiences, the importance of social media and online resources and how they are used to broaden the audience reach, as well as editorial standards and writing guidelines.
Interns will report, write and submit news articles for eCampus News Web site, and assist the editorial team by providing editorial, research and social media support. Interns are expected to keep abreast of the latest trends in education and technology by reading popular newspapers and other media outlets.
Our office is conveniently located near the Bethesda Metro station in Bethesda, MD. Interns may work remotely or in the office.
Duration: The internship program will last each semester (fall, winter, spring and summer). Students are required to commit to at least 5 hours per week. Interns will check in regularly with their supervisor via email and by phone if needed. This is an unpaid internship and upon successful completion, interns may use eCampus News as a reference and can receive a letter of recommendation by request.
Qualifications: Students must be at least a sophomore with a 3.0 average and should be a highly motivated, hard-working, self-starter with a strong interest in education and technology. Experience writing for a student newspaper or a professional publication is preferred.
