Interested in marketing, communications, advertising, or public relations? Loyola’s office of marketing and communication / graduate admission is accepting applications for a summer intern at the Timonium Graduate Center.
The office of marketing and communications is responsible for managing and executing the brand of Loyola University Maryland, which includes: advertising, design and creative execution, media planning, internal communications, public and media relations, crisis communications, strategic communications, and Web design and marketing.
Background / Skills
No professional experience is required, however must be a currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student at Loyola University Maryland. If undergraduate, prefer communications or marketing majors. Applicants should be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. A strong working knowledge of technology, computers and devices (iPads, Android devices, etc.) and an affinity for social media as a marketing tool are required. Adobe Photoshop and/or InDesign experience is preferred, however not required.
Duties may include:
– Assist graduate programs from a technology and marketing perspective
– Assist with events and information sessions
– Assist in the support of social media
– Provide support in the development and distribution of press releases and alerts
– Catalogue digital photos, as needed
– Update event photo archive
– Provide assistance in phone coverage
– Work after normal business hours may be required to assist at events.
This office of marketing and communications is located in Loyola’s Graduate Center in Timonium, Md. Transportation will be required.
