The Literary Corner-Blog Talk Radio was launched in July of 2014 with one literary podcast and has blossomed into three podcasts which include, Musical Madness Mondays, which features aspiring and well- known artists in the music industry, The Poets Without Limits, which airs on Thursday evening and showcases poets from all over the nation, and The Recovery Corner, which provides a platform for people who have overcome a myriad of disparaging situations, including, but not limited to substance abuse and mental health issues.
Despite being a relatively new company, The Literary Corner is an international podcaster licensed by I-Tunes which means our shows are automatically uploaded into our I-Tunes channel; this allows our show to be accessed by people all over the world. We have also secured an Atlanta, Ga. magazine affiliate, Divine Voice which give us exposure in another region of the country and makes our podcast more accessible to an audience that is heavily populated by celebrities in the film and music industry, subsequently attracting more celebrity clients and guests. The Literary Corner also has a sponsoring non-profit, The Theodore House, which provides comprehensive services for people who suffer with substance abuse and mental health issues as well as people affected by HIV and Aids.
I am looking seeking interns who are ready to become involved in all aspects of journalism and communications through radio broadcasting, writing feature articles, booking and interviewing guests, developing relationships with other radio and television stations and their staff, explore sponsorship and other responsibilities deemed necessary to maintain the momentum of The Literary Corner and further solidify it as the premier blog talk radio show.
Interns will receive full credit for all of their contributions and a letter from the broadcasting station upon the completion of their internship. Interns will only be required to work on the agreed days/times and will adhere to all of the requirements of Loyola University regarding the use of interns. The Literacy Corner is committed to providing our interns with an enriching experience and one that will prove beneficial in their chosen career trajectory. The interns will be instrumental to the full scope of services and their opinions will be valued.
