Himmelrich PR, a Baltimore-based public relations firm with local and national clients, offers internships to students looking for skill-building experience.

Responsibilities
Interns assist our PR professionals with all public relations tasks, including:
– researching media outlets and personnel
– providing ideas for promotions
– assisting in planning client events
– identifying media, contacts and client opportunities
– writing media and promotional materials, including press releases, newsletters and blogs
– creating content for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram

Experience
Interns at Himmelrich PR produce real, usable work that enhances their portfolios. Projects are collaborative so interns are exposed to all facets of public relations. Our office is fun, professional and filled with smart and nice people. Interns develop practical knowledge of how a PR firm and how PR professionals work.

Qualifications
Interns should be:
– outgoing and enthusiastic
– fluent in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
– familiar with social media, especially Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
– professional in demeanor and attitude
– energetic and enthusiastic

Other Information
– Internships are unpaid. Students should arrange for academic credit for their experiences.
– Interns must commit a minimum of 15 hours per week to their internship.
– Students with course work or prior experience in public relations, marketing or communications are preferred.
