Intern Job Description: Marketing/Communications Intern

Spring Semester, 2016

eThink provides solutions, strategic consulting, and technology management services for the most widely utilized Learning Management System in the world, Moodle™. Bringing together people, processes, and technology, we work with Educational Institutions to help them strengthen performance through solutions that provide advanced data management, increased accountability, and better educational experiences. This all comes at a fraction of the cost of traditional learning management systems.

Position: Marketing/Communications Intern

Description: eThink education seeks a dynamic, self-starter to assist in research, outreach and relationship building with prospective schools in K-12 and Higher Education. This internship is an excellent opportunity to hone communications skills while also engaging the intersection of business and education.

Responsibilities:

  • Become versed in the mission and vision of eThink education
  • Establish and maintain supportive relationships with prospective schools.
  • Communicate with VP of Sales and eThink team on progress of individual outreach.
  • Collaborate with staff on new ideas, directions, and venues for outreach.
  • Strategize promotion of initiative and recruitment of schools.
  • Be on time, work hard, be creative, and be a good fit for company culture
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Completed or working toward a college degree, preferably in a related field (English, Education, Marketing/Communication, eBusiness, Management, Public Relations, Non-profit management)
  • Previous internship or related experience in marketing or communications is a plus.
  • Must be computer literate (working knowledge of Microsoft Office).
  • An effective communicator, both written and oral.
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner and think criticaly.
  • Self-motivated, good organization, ability to prioritize and work with multiple different partners.
  • Interest in community development, education, non-profit support a plus.

Hours: 8-20 hours/week, @ least one day in our downtown Baltimore office located on 1111 Light St. during week. There is a flexibility with hours.

Compensation:

$600 stipend
Laptop provided
