We are looking for a Loyola student (undergraduate or grad) who would like to enhance their portfolio, pursue learning new skills in design and design software, and assist the Counseling Center in our Public Health outreach initiatives.
Expectations:
1. Collaborate with the Public Health Team Initiatives throughout the semester. Specifically, helping to develop ideas, create posters and other marketing materials. This will necessitate the proficient use of media design software, such as Adobe Photoshop. Candidate should have a background in art (i.e. graphic design, photography, etc.). This position is an opportunity to build your experience and expand your portfolio.
2.Ongoing assistance in updating our web pages (www.loyola.edu/counselingcenter) and our Facebook page.
3.Procure books/articles/tapes/films from LND library. Assist in some library and online research for workshops/training programs and clinical resources. Candidate should be familiar with how to search the LND library database via their website.
4.Assist in distributing information and survey materials to students; posting signs on campus.
5.Run errands as assigned (familiarity with campus a plus).
6.Assist in design of materials for workshops/groups.
7.General office duties as assigned; e.g., data entry, make copies of office materials/forms on scanner/copier.
9.Some experience with Microsoft Publisher and Adobe Photoshop is a must.
10.Strong experience in marketing, design and/or diversity initiatives a plus.
* Counseling Center necessarily handles confidential information. Work study student is not allowed to answer phones or have access to confidential material; i.e., client files, appointment schedules. Client confidentiality must be protected.
