Required: Be creative and confident, willing to share ideas for creative marketing strategies and have excellent writing, editing and communication skills.
Experience in design software ideal and must have own laptop. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Compensation: Unpaid position. Flexible Hours-10-16 per week. Prerequisites: Student currently enrolled in a baccalaureate or graduate level program in marketing, communications, business, or other related field.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:

- Intern will write calendar posts, public service announcements and web information
- During events, interns will work with management to support show sponsors, meet and greets, pre/post parties, photographers and press.
- Intern will be responsible for updating social media posts and are trusted to post in a frequent manner that builds event awareness
- Monitoring newspapers, local TV news and blogs for company mentions.
- Interns will help to cover on-site social media and event production assistance
- Various public relations projects as assigned.
- Events include Maryland Fleet Week & Air Show Baltimore and several special events.
- Some event planning responsibilities include researching and organizing information into spreadsheets, creating power points, attending marketing and event planning meetings, organizing files, contacting companies for information and more.
- Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision.

REQUIREMENTS:
Undergraduate college student
15-20 hours a week (plus events)
Course work in Mass Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or related areas of study.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Suite especially Photoshop a plus.
