Marketing / Communications Intern
Description:
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Chesapeake (BBBSGC) seeks a marketing, development and communications intern to assist with, the development of agency marketing initiatives; the construction of a social media campaign and calendar; and special events. The intern will also be working side by side with our Individual Giving and Institutional Giving This internship is unpaid for the express benefit of participants work experience and training in specialized skills.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
* Assisting with efforts for Tailgate 2014 Event
* Preparing for Bowl for Kids’ Sake campaign 2014
* Working at various events as needed
* Developing content for social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn)
* Evaluating and modifying existing agency marketing material
* Helping to update information in our databases for donors and volunteers
* Assisting efforts of Institutional Giving and Individual Giving Departments as needed
Qualifications:
Someone whose team and task oriented with good communication skills. Preferably someone who is interested in Development, Marketing or Communications. Some graphic design experience preferred.
Hours per week: 10-15 hours but that is negotiable
