MGH Public Relations Internship<\/p>\n
When? MGH Public Relations is accepting applications for the Fall 2007 semester. Please submit resume and cover letter by the following dates:
Fall 2007 internship: September 15, 2007<\/p>\n
Responsibilities
The public relations intern will be responsible for general public relations duties as assigned, including:
\u00b7 Research for existing clients and new business prospects
\u00b7 Build and maintain media lists for a range of clients
\u00b7 Create digital news clip files
\u00b7 Assist in the creation, distribution and follow-up of news materials, including: press releases, calendar listings, media advisories and fact sheets
\u00b7 Compile media kits
\u00b7 Miscellaneous writing and proofreading assignments
\u00b7 Other administrative duties, including copying, faxing and scanning
\u00b7 Occasional assistance in other MGH departments, as needed<\/p>\n
Qualifications
\u00b7 Junior or senior college student with a focused interest in the public relations\/marketing field
\u00b7 Excellent verbal and written skills
\u00b7 Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the Internet
\u00b7 Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
\u00b7 Ability to prioritize numerous projects, meet tight deadlines and take initiative in problem solving
\u00b7 Flexibility in dealing with new projects\/situations when presented<\/p>\n
Reports to Candidate will be assigned a specific department supervisor to help streamline projects and facilitate the learning and mentoring process.<\/p>\n
