Philips Collegiate Journalism Awards<\/p>\n<p>The Institute on Political Journalism is now accepting entries for the<br \/>2007 Thomas L. Philips Collegiate Journalism Awards. The awards recognize excellence<br \/>in well- sourced news stories or analytical reports in collegiate publications that<br \/>demonstrate an understanding of the basic ideas that support a free society, including<br \/>freedom of the press, freedom of speech and free- market economic principles.<\/p>\n<p>First, second and third place prizes are $5,000, $2,500 and $1,000 respectively.<br \/>All articles must have been published between January 1, 2006 and March 31, 2007.<br \/>All entries must be postmarked by March 31, 2007.
