You won\u2019t be fetching anyone coffee during this internship. If you want a once in a lifetime, hands-on experience planning events and marketing for sports teams keep reading.<\/p>\n<p>This internship will equip you to perform in your future career by providing you with real sports marketing experience and exposure. You\u2019ll get an inside look into a leading sporting goods company that will include attending photo shoots, sales meetings and sporting events.<\/p>\n<p>Besides getting your hands dirty prepping and coordinating for game days, you\u2019ll receive some pretty cool benefits that will make you the envy of all of your friends, including:<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Swag bag packed with all the latest STX gear &amp; apparel<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 A stick signed by STX athletes, including LXM Pro Lacrosse Star Kyle Harrison<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Opportunity for school credit (without the less exciting classroom part)<\/p>\n<p>Information:<\/p>\n<p>You don\u2019t have to be an athlete to apply, but you must have a love for the game and sports. STX athletes are \u2018Equipped to Perform\u2019 on the field and with this internship you\u2019ll be Equipped to Perform in your future professional career. We never stop innovating and we\u2019re looking for someone who exhibits that same passion and insatiable curiosity. To be considered, you must be:<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Enrolled in your Junior or Senior year of a bachelor\u2019s program at an accredited college or university in Maryland for the Spring 2014 semester<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 A Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, or related major<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Available to work a minimum of 12 hours per week and be available from the start of the spring semester through June 6th<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Able to provide your own transportation to STX headquarters in Baltimore, MD<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 18 years of age or older<\/p>\n<p>Entry Deets:<\/p>\n<p>To apply, create a video (60 seconds or less) explaining what makes you \u201cEquipped to Perform\u201d as the 2014 STXtreme Intern. We want to see your personality, so get creative and make sure you include why you are the best fit for the STX brand. Then go to STX\u2019s Facebook page (www.facebook.com\/stxlacrosse) and click on the \u201cSTXtreme Internship Contest\u201d tab to complete the form to upload your video entry.<\/p>\n<p>To complete your application, e-mail a link to your video, along with your resume and a recent writing sample to STXtremeInternship@stx.com.<\/p>\n<p>Fan Voting: Be sure to use your social media skills to get your &#8220;fans&#8221; to vote for your video. The applicant with the most votes will get bonus points for the contest and have a better chance of earning their spot as a finalist!<\/p>\n<p>Applications are due by 5:30 p.m. on October 7, 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Finalist Showdown:<\/p>\n<p>The top finalists will be chosen to compete in the STXtreme Intern Showdown in downtown Baltimore. Finalists\u2019 marketing and networking skills will be tested as they compete in golf, lacrosse, field hockey and ice hockey challenges.
