If you\u2019re dreaming of the day when H&M Home opens in the U.S. and you can\u2019t wait to check out the latest boutique and restaurant in town, then this internship is for you! Chesapeake Home + Living magazine, a home d\u00e9cor and lifestyle magazine based in Baltimore, Md., is seeking an editorial intern. The internship is unpaid and you must be able to receive academic credit. The perfect candidate will be extremely organized, enthusiastic and detail-oriented.<\/p>\n
Duration: semester. Two days a week for 5-6 hour shifts. Can be flexible, but total weekly time should be about 10-12 hours. Start date September 10.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities include:
\n\u2022 Updating social media pages several times throughout the day (including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest) \u2022 Assisting with photography requests and photo shoots
\n\u2022 Submitting story ideas
\n\u2022 Writing one blog per week
\n\u2022 Fact checking and conducting research for stories
\n\u2022 Compiling editorial mail list for every issue
\n\u2022 Providing editorial and administrative support for the staff<\/p>\n
Requirements:
\n\u2022 Must receive academic credit for internship
\n\u2022 Major in communications, journalism or English
\n\u2022 Proficiency in social media and blogging
\n\u2022 Strong writing, editing, research and communication skills
\n\u2022 Interest in and\/or experience with home d\u00e9cor and lifestyle content
\n\u2022 Reliable transportation<\/p>\n
