{"id":525,"date":"2015-08-22T22:53:54","date_gmt":"2015-08-22T22:53:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/commpound.com\/intern\/?p=525"},"modified":"2015-08-22T22:53:54","modified_gmt":"2015-08-22T22:53:54","slug":"evergreen-health-co-op-outreach-associate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/commpound.com\/intern\/2015\/08\/22\/evergreen-health-co-op-outreach-associate\/","title":{"rendered":"Evergreen Health Co-op: Outreach Associate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE ORGANIZATION<\/p>\n<p>Evergreen Health Cooperative (EHC) is a non-profit consumer operated and oriented health insurance plan (CO-OP) in Maryland that provides individuals and businesses with quality health care, a voice in how their plan is operated, and the chance to experience being part of a health plan that puts patients at the core.<\/p>\n<p>THE POSITION<\/p>\n<p>Reports to: Manager, Outreach and Community Relations &amp; Senior VP of Marketing<\/p>\n<p>The Community Outreach Associate will join the Evergreen Health communications department and play a vital role in representing Evergreen Health at various community events in Maryland. He\/She will work with the senior VP of marketing and the manager of outreach to promote excellent community relations by engaging with visitors to our booths and guests at various events. The communications department works to ensure its organization\u2019s community presence is consistent with its brand and mission to deliver a personalized experience for our members and potential members. As such, s\/he may be involved with event planning, event coordination, and collaboration with various departments at Evergreen Health. The outreach and communications associate must have reliable transportation to travel within Maryland, and be able to work mornings, evenings, and weekends.<\/p>\n<p>SPECIFIC SKILLS\/RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n<p>Must be available part-time for a minimum of 10 hours a week and maximum of 20 hours a week beginning in September 2014 and ending in February 2015<br \/>\n\u2022Assists with event planning and coordination<br \/>\n\u2022Sets up and staffs outreach events that are held during mornings, evenings,<br \/>\nand weekends<br \/>\n\u2022Collects potential member information and adds to database for social media and email marketing engagement<br \/>\n\u2022Provides regular updates to communications team on event participation<br \/>\n\u2022Outreach Associate must be available on the following dates for major events:<\/p>\n<p>o September 13, 2014<br \/>\no September 20, 2014<br \/>\no October 5, 2014<br \/>\no October 11, 2014<br \/>\no November 27, 2014 (Thanksgiving Day \u2013 morning only)<\/p>\n<p>INTERPERSONAL SKILLS &amp; ATTRIBUTES<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Personal and professional track record that demonstrates a commitment to the mission of Evergreen Health<br \/>\n\u2022Effective communication skills<br \/>\n\u2022A positive attitude \u2013 ability to work hard, have fun, and operate efficiently in<br \/>\na fast-paced, start-up work environment and in a highly complex and dynamic industry sector<br \/>\n\u2022Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented<br \/>\n\u2022Commitment to professional development and teambuilding<br \/>\n\u2022Ability to work independently as well as part of a team<\/p>\n<p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Demonstrated interest in Evergreen Health\u2019s mission and community outreach<br \/>\n\u2022Strong interpersonal skills with diverse audiences, including individuals<br \/>\nand families<\/p>\n<p>TO APPLY<\/p>\n<p>Please forward Cover Letter and Resume to: careers@evergreenmd.org with Subject Line: \u201cCommunity Outreach Associate\u201d by August 31, 2014.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>THE ORGANIZATION Evergreen Health Cooperative (EHC) is a non-profit consumer operated and oriented health insurance plan (CO-OP) in Maryland that provides individuals and businesses with quality health care, a voice in how their plan is operated, and the chance to experience being part of a health plan that puts patients at the core.
