For more information please visit our website www.cliayouth.org or check us out on Facebook (\/cliayouth) or Twitter (\/cliayouth).<\/p>\n<p>Position: Marketing and Communications Intern<br \/>\nReports to CLIA\u2019s Communications Coordinator<\/p>\n<p>Description: Community Law In Action seeks a dynamic, self-starter to assist marketing and communications efforts. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of marketing while working in the nonprofit sector.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>Assist in maintaining CLIA\u2019s social media presence, including daily monitoring, posting and scheduling Facebook and Twitter updates<\/p>\n<p>Interview and photograph CLIA youth during programming and events<\/p>\n<p>Assist in planning, writing and managing CLIA\u2019s biweekly e-newsletters that highlight youth accomplishments.<\/p>\n<p>Assist in designing flyers, graphics, event invitations and other marketing materials<\/p>\n<p>Update CLIA\u2019s website regularly<\/p>\n<p>Collaborate with staff on new ideas, directions, and tools for marketing and communications<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications:<\/p>\n<p>Required<\/p>\n<p>Candidates must be working towards a bachelor\u2019s degree or master\u2019s degree in a related field (e.g. Marketing\/Communications, Graphic Design, Journalism, Advertising or Public Relations). Candidates in graduate school or with at least half of their Bachelor\u2019s degree completed will be given preference in hiring.<\/p>\n<p>Understanding of the principles of public relations and\/or marketing<\/p>\n<p>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite<\/p>\n<p>Experience using social media for marketing<\/p>\n<p>Skilled in photography and proficiency with a DSLR camera<\/p>\n<p>Possess excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills<\/p>\n<p>Ability to work well independently, and within a team<\/p>\n<p>Commitment to working with high school aged youth<\/p>\n<p>Preferred<\/p>\n<p>Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator desired<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge of HTML, website content management a plus<\/p>\n<p>Start Date: Position open until filled, requires 4 \u2013 6 month (or one semester) commitment<\/p>\n<p>Hours: 10 \u2013 15 hours\/week<\/p>\n<p>Compensation: This is an unpaid internship<\/p>\n<p>To Apply: Please a send cover letter, resume and a short marketing writing sample(a newsletter, press release, an article, blog post etc.) to Shannon Daley at shannon@cliayouth.org<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Marketing and Communications Intern Community Law In Action cultivates the leadership skills of Baltimore City\u2019s youth to elevate the unique voice of young people to advocate for positive community change.
