Our methods are rooted in research and data, but our approach is uniquely personal. Working with corporate partners, non-profit and advocacy organizations, state and local governments and electoral clients, we build genuine relationships and support that results in meaningful engagement of activists, consumers and voters.<\/p>\n<p>POSITION SUMMARY<br \/>\nWe are seeking bright, motivated, and civically minded interns who want first-hand experience working on corporate, issue-based, electoral and advocacy campaigns.<\/p>\n<p>CORE RESPONSIBILITIES<br \/>\n\u2022 Organize and maintain supporter records;<br \/>\n\u2022 Support field staff in organizing and executing grassroots campaigns;<br \/>\n\u2022 Assist with the organizations of community outreach meetings and earned media events;<br \/>\n\u2022 Conduct research of local community leaders, stakeholders and important civic organizations for different grassroots campaigns;<br \/>\n\u2022 With support from Campaign Directors, prepare and facilitate phone banks;<br \/>\n\u2022 Support social media work: draft potential posts, track account followers and likes, general account monitoring;<br \/>\n\u2022 Administrative duties including data entry, scanning, and filing.<\/p>\n<p>QUALIFICATIONS:<br \/>\nIntern must be:<br \/>\n\u2022 A self-starter who is able to work with a high degree of autonomy;<br \/>\n\u2022 Well organized \u2013 a multi-tasker;<br \/>\n\u2022 Outgoing and a team player;<br \/>\n\u2022 Comfortable communicating on the phone and with diverse groups of people;<br \/>\n\u2022 Mature and able to maintain confidentiality and ethical conduct;<br \/>\n\u2022 Interested in political and advocacy campaigns.<\/p>\n<p>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:<br \/>\n\u2022 Must be enrolled in (or already completed) a bachelors degree program, 3rd and 4th year students preferred but not required;<br \/>\n\u2022 Must have reliable transportation.<\/p>\n<p>POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 2<\/p>\n<p>HOURS: 10-20 hours a week, exact hours and schedule flexible<\/p>\n<p>LOCATION: Baltimore, MD<\/p>\n<p>TO APPLY:<br \/>\nThis internship is unpaid, but students may obtain course credit. We are recruiting on a rolling basis. Students need not wait till spring\/summer semester to apply.
