Headquartered in Baltimore, MD, we are expanding rapidly and are deploying significant resources to grow local markets nationwide.<\/p>\n<p>JOB OVERVIEW<\/p>\n<p>OrderUp has an exciting opportunity for the 2015 Spring semester for a paid internship within our Marketing department! We are seeking a PR intern who will be passionate about OrderUp and want to share that passion with friends, family, fellow students and complete strangers. Your main goals will be to increase brand awareness and introduce others to the OrderUp\u2019s unique food-ordering marketplace.<\/p>\n<p>The PR intern will be supervised and mentored directly by OrderUp\u2019s Director of Public Relations and Communications. The intern will undergo an on-boarding process when joining OrderUp, during which s\/he will be mentored in all programs, best practices, and company standards. The PR intern will work with department leadership throughout his\/her experience to integrate him\/her in planning processes, strategy brainstorming seminars and developing a great understanding for strategic public relations and communications.<\/p>\n<p>RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n<p>Research and create media lists, draft press releases, and conduct media outreach<br \/>\nResearch and maintain speaking\/editorial opportunities and calendars<br \/>\nExperiment and come up with new and alternative ways to leverage OrderUp\u2019s stories<br \/>\nMonitor media for coverage and maintain list of placements<br \/>\nOther PR duties as assigned<\/p>\n<p>REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n<p>-Currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Public Relations, Communications or Marketing<br \/>\n-Strong writing and proofreading skills<br \/>\n-Able to work with minimal supervision while maintaining focus &amp; productivity; able to meet deadlines<br \/>\n-Work from OrderUp corporate headquarters in Canton, Baltimore, MD<br \/>\n-Commitment to working a full semester and during scheduled hours<\/p>\n<p>PERKS<\/p>\n<p>-Payment: $10\/hr<br \/>\n-Gain understanding and experience with a rapidly growing national start-up<br \/>\n-Fun, get-things-done work environment with flexible hours<br \/>\n-OrderUp swag \u2013 You\u2019re part of the team, and we want you to fit the part from the toes up<br \/>\n-OrderUp discounts \u2013 Working on an empty stomach won\u2019t help anyone<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>COMPANY DESCRIPTION OrderUp is the most complete on-demand food delivery marketplace for hometowns, nationwide.
