Our programs and services focus on creating and sustaining a healthy mix of work, personal life, and academic pursuits\u2014all in an effort to support each person\u2019s need for work-life effectiveness. <\/p>\n<p>The Communications Intern will help create and maintain content that focuses on work-life effectiveness, disruptive behaviors at work or in an academic setting, and being successful as a graduate student. Most of the content will be published online, however some may be used in print pieces.<\/p>\n<p>Key Tasks and Responsibilities<br \/>\n\u2022\tResearch and write content<br \/>\n\u2022\tMake edits to websites in content management system<br \/>\n\u2022\tEnhance website usability and navigation<br \/>\n\u2022\tAssist with monthly efforts to promote services, programs, and events electronically<br \/>\n\u2022\tTrack promotions for multiple projects<br \/>\nRequired Skills<br \/>\n\u2022\tStrong interest in writing online content<br \/>\n\u2022\tResearch and synthesize content<br \/>\n\u2022\tExcellent communication and written skills<br \/>\n\u2022\tOrganized, detailed, and efficient<br \/>\n\u2022\tWork on multiple projects simultaneously<br \/>\n\u2022\tSelf-motivator<br \/>\nNecessary Qualifications<br \/>\n\u2022\t1-2 years writing experience for college courses<br \/>\n\u2022\tWorking towards a college degree in journalism, communications, or other writing-intensive major strongly preferred<br \/>\nCommunications Interns will gain experience in:<br \/>\n\u2022\tPitching, researching, and writing content for hopkinsworklife.org, safeathopkins.org, and jhsap.org<br \/>\n\u2022\tTracking and scheduling content<br \/>\n\u2022\tViewing recordings of webinars for important points and future content development<br \/>\n\u2022\tCreating an editorial calendar for news, events, fun facts, and images for a proactive approach to developing and posting content<br \/>\nYou will work closely with the communications manager and have weekly meetings to provide feedback and discuss upcoming writing and content management assignments. <\/p>\n<p>Applications Instructions<br \/>\nThe position begins at the start of the fall semester and ends at the end of the semester with the opportunity to extend for additional semesters.
