Internship Opportunity with NAMI Howard County
NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill) Howard County seeks marketing, advertising and/or public relations interns to assist with development of an extensive marketing plan that will help NAMI Howard County accomplish the following:
NAMI HC’s mission is to is to improve the lives of individuals and families living with mental illness through education, advocacy and support, and to increase awareness of mental illness throughout the community.
Our goals are to:
1. build awareness within the larger community about our programs and services
2. garner additional members, partners, volunteers and ultimately financial support
3. address stigma relating to mental illness
4. increase knowledge of mental illness
5. position NAMI HC as the “go to” referral source for mental health information
6. use social media and other marketing tools to accomplish the above
The marketing intern will work closely with the Executive Director of NAMI Howard County and with office staff.
Interns may start as early as Summer ’15
